Advanced Laser Technology and Its Applications - AIP Publishing LLC

Since the American scientist Theodore H. Maiman successfully created the world’s first ruby solid-state laser in May 1960, laser technology has been developing for more than 60 years. Over the past 60 years, laser science and technology have witnessed rapid progress and penetrated into many fields such as scientific research, medical and health care, industrial processing, entertainment and leisure, as well as national defense and security, and have had a tremendous impact. This special issue aims to comprehensively overview the latest progress of laser technology and its applications in various fields.

This Special Issue, entitled “Advanced Laser Technology and Its Applications”, will welcome contributions from theoretical, numerical, and experimental studies, from fundamentals to application studies including fiber lasers, nonlinear optics, laser–matter interaction, terahertz modulation technology, thermal effects of laser systems and the generation and application of ultrashort pulses.

We encourage researchers and experts in the field of laser technology to submit their original research articles, review papers, case studies, and technological updates to this special issue. Contributions that offer novel insights, innovative approaches, and practical applications of laser technology are particularly welcomed. We look forward to compiling a comprehensive collection of the latest advancements in this exciting field.
